Why take the course with me

There is no shortage of AI courses. Here are six reasons people come to me — and why they recommend me to others.

A paid AI licence is included

For the duration of the course you get access to a shared paid licence for an AI tool. You do not have to buy anything to try what the free versions cannot do.

I will help with the Labour Office application

The Labour Office system can be frustrating even for experienced users. I send you the exact paperwork, walk you through the application and help with technical problems when signing in.

Plain language, not jargon

I have been teaching for almost twenty years. I can explain complex principles so that they make sense even to someone who is convinced they are not a computer person.

You practise on your own work

This is not a lecture. Every block includes exercises on your own tasks, documents and emails. You leave with finished results, not with notes.

Every day ends with your questions

The last block of each day belongs to whatever you got stuck on. But you can ask at any point during the teaching — that is what I am there for.

You leave with something finished and a certificate

By the end you will have built something of your own that you genuinely use, and you receive a certificate of completion. You can put it on your CV and show it to your employer as evidence of AI literacy training.

The Labour Office pays most of the price

The course is part of the Jsem v kurzu programme. The subsidy covers 76.73 % of the price and you only pay the rest. It is not a loan and there is nothing to pay back.

  1. 1

    Send me the form

Name, email and phone. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  2. 2

    I send you the paperwork

You get the exact course title, provider details, price, scope and dates — in the format the Labour Office will ask for.

  3. 3

    You submit the application

The application is submitted online. If you get stuck anywhere, call me — technical sign-in problems are something I deal with all the time.

  4. 4

    Once approved, we start

We settle your share and I send you everything you need for day one. Access to the paid AI tools is handed out at the course itself, so there is nothing to arrange in advance.

Who can apply for the subsidy

The programme is open to individuals who want to improve their digital and IT skills. In practice that is almost everyone:

  • employees in any field
  • self-employed people and business owners
  • job seekers registered with the Labour Office
  • parents on parental leave
  • students
  • economically inactive people

Programme conditions can change. The current wording is on the Czech Labour Office website — and if you are unsure, we can go through it together over the phone.

Do not fancy figuring this out alone?

Give me a call. We will go through whether you qualify and I will tell you straight whether the course makes sense for you.

Two courses, depending on where you are heading

Both run online and in person. The content is practical rather than theoretical — you practise on your own tasks.

Practical use of artificial intelligence

for employees and job seekers

The complete foundation that gets you genuinely using AI in your daily work. From your first prompt to your own agent.

  • Voice dictation: speak instead of typing
  • Ten tasks AI solves right away
  • Sharing results and open questions

  • Anatomy of a prompt and the CRIT framework
  • Exercise: turning a weak prompt into a strong one
  • Hallucinations, verification and the safety minimum
  • Attachments: giving AI eyes
  • Questions and the daily mini challenge

From paper and photos into usable data. A CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile that get noticed. Plus learning a language or a new skill with AI.

  • Extracting data from documents, paper and images
  • Career: CV, cover letter and LinkedIn
  • Learning and development: languages, new skills, retraining
  • Voice conversation and interpreting
  • Questions and sharing results
Day4Mock interviews, research and your own knowledge base

Practise a job interview and difficult workplace conversations. Show AI what is on your screen, and build an assistant that only knows your own documents.

  • Search with AI and deep research
  • Your own knowledge base: AI that only knows your documents
  • Questions and recap of the day

Turn a recorded meeting into minutes and action points. Connect your mail, calendar and drive. Clean messy data and get formulas you do not have to memorise.

  • Meetings: recording, minutes and action points
  • Connectors: AI that knows my mail, calendar and drive
  • Spreadsheets and data: cleaning, formulas and analysis
  • Office admin and personalised bulk mail
  • Questions and recap of the day
Day6Creating: slides, images, video and voice

A deck in minutes, a professional headshot from an ordinary selfie, a clip generated from text and video edited by describing what you want — including where the ethical and legal limits are.

  • Presentations, handouts and documents on demand
  • Images: generating and editing your own photos
  • Video from text: a clip in ten minutes
  • Editing video by prompt and working with voice
  • Questions and a showcase of what you made
Day7Your own app and website without programming

Vibe coding: describe what you want and watch it appear. Build a personal page, put it on your own domain and set up your own assistant.

  • Vibe coding: your own app without programming
  • A personal landing page about you
  • Domain, hosting and polishing the page
  • Claude Desktop, Projects and custom assistants

  • Claude Cowork III: your own workflow
  • Automation in Make: scenarios that run without you
  • Autonomous agents and the agentic browser
  • Local models: AI for free, offline and without sending data
  • Final project brief
Day10Safety, law and the final project

What never to put into AI, how the EU AI Act works, deepfakes and copyright. A test, a look at what you built and your certificate.

  • Safety and data protection when working with AI
  • The AI Act, deepfakes and copyright
  • Final test and finishing the projects
  • Show and tell: what you built

Jirka Folta, artificial intelligence course tutor

Who will be teaching you

Jirka Folta

Tutor and guide to the world of AI

I have been teaching for almost twenty years and I studied computer science in Finland. I understand the technology and I also know how to teach — and that combination is rarer than it sounds. Most people can do one or the other.

More than three hundred people have been through my AI courses — from accountants and tradespeople to directors and people who were looking for work at the time. I have never met anyone who could not handle it. Only people nobody had explained it to properly.

I am not a lecturer standing at a whiteboard. I am there with you over the work you actually do — whether we are sitting in the same room or I am looking at your screen over Zoom. When something will not work, we sort it out together.

What participants say

Feedback from courses I have taught in Sezimovo Ústí, Tábor and the surrounding area.

I used to be wary of AI — a bit afraid of it and unsure what it was even good for. On this course Jirka managed to explain the principle and the possibilities in a really pleasant and understandable way.
Petr, Tábor
My experience with the course was very good. I warmly recommend it to everyone. Jirka is an excellent tutor, friendly and easy to be around. Thank you so much.
Ivana, Sezimovo Ústí
I have already used it at work to design a label for equipment in our repair shop. The atmosphere was pleasant and I came away with a solid idea of what AI can do. With this technology on the rise, I definitely recommend it.
Pavel, Sezimovo Ústí
Great tutor, interesting subject, friendly atmosphere. Jirka showed us how to use AI in everyday life. It gave me a real insight into what today's technology can do. Recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Did not find your answer? Call or write and I will happily explain.

How much will I actually pay?
The core course costs CZK 20,990. Under the Jsem v kurzu programme the Labour Office covers 76.73 % of that, so you pay a 23.27 % share, i.e. CZK 4,884. There are no other fees — the shared AI licence and all materials are included.
Who can apply for the subsidy?
The programme is for individuals who want to improve their digital and IT skills: employees in any field, self-employed people and business owners, registered job seekers, parents on parental leave, students and economically inactive people. You do not have to be unemployed.
Can I manage it if I am not technical?
Yes. The course is built for complete beginners — on day one we start by having you speak instead of typing. You try everything straight away on your own tasks, nobody is rushing anywhere, and when you get stuck I am right there to help you personally. In twenty years of teaching I have not met anyone who could not do it.
What if the Labour Office rejects my application?
Then nothing is owed and you pay nothing. That is exactly why your share is only paid after approval. Before you apply we go through whether you meet the conditions, so you do not waste your time.
What equipment do I need?
A computer or laptop with a microphone and camera, and an ordinary internet connection. The online version runs on Zoom. You will also need a Google account — if you do not have one or are not sure, we will set it up together, it is nothing complicated. Most of the AI tools we use run in the browser; we install only a couple of applications and I will always help you with that.
Do I have to attend every day?
The Labour Office requires at least 80 % attendance, so for serious reasons you can miss at most two days out of ten. Attendance is recorded with exact times and online teaching is recorded, which is a Labour Office requirement.
Do I get proof that I completed the course?
Yes. At the end you take a short test (20 questions, pass mark 70 %) and show the others what you built during the course. It is not an exam in front of a panel — it is more of a show-and-tell of what helped you most. You then receive a certificate of completion, which you can put on your CV and show to your employer as evidence of AI literacy training.
Do I have to pay for expensive AI tools?
No. For the duration of the course you get access to a shared paid licence so you can try the features the free versions do not have. I will also show you how much can be done for free — including a model that runs on your own computer.
